• Furry friend Friday

    What’s up, people?

I’m so excited because new smallfrys and a new WWF animal will be in Build-A-Bear Workshop stores on Friday! There will be a new WWF Amur Leopard in stores in the US and Canada, and there will be a donation made to the World Wildlife Fund to help real animals in the wild whenever someone buys it! Plus, there will be three WWF smallfrys that are totally adorable and I really want one of those. As you know, I’m a big smallfrys lover because they are so perfect for transporting around but still totally huggable. There will be a WWF Lion, WWF Wolf and WWF Cheetah. Can you even imagine how cute that little lion is?

I wonder if my teacher would let me bring one to hang out at my desk at school. It’s probably good if I talk to him before I bring it in. We aren’t supposed to have anything on our desks except for the books and papers that we are actually working on because he says it can be too distracting. But maybe he would even let a cute little lion smallfry hang out at his desk while we worked. Now that would be adorable!

    Check ya later!

  • What I've been doing

    August 27, 2012

    Hey guys,

I’ve got a couple of important things to tell you. First, our classroom mascot! So, last week we all entered a name and pulled from a hat to make it fair. (I’m talking about how we named our official classroom reading mascot in my new class.) Drum roll, please! His name is Max! Sounds like I wasn’t the only one thinking about ‘m’ names. So it’s Max the Monkey. It’s not my turn to take him home for a few weeks, but you know I’m totally going to start thinking of things we can do together!

I also wanted to give you a couple of tips on how you can earn more Bear Bills® in Bearville so you can go shopping and get more cool stuff! I get a lot of questions about this, so I thought it might help for me to let you know the best ways to earn more stuff. First, you’ve gotta play some of the cool games in Bearville! Those will help you earn Bear Bills, plus, you get unique little gifts just for playing a lot of the games in Bearville. Another way to earn Bear Bills is to get a job. You can work at the Coffee Shop, Bearywood Mall or the US Bank of Bearville. Just like jobs in real life, you get paid and then you can go shopping with your paycheck!

Hope some of those tips help!

    Talk to ya later!

  • Monkeying Around

    August 22, 2012

Wow. I love my teacher. I mean, so far, he’s really cool. We already  have so much cool stuff planned this year and it’s only been two days! He is a new teacher at my school and I think this year is going to be the best ever!

As soon as we walked in yesterday, he let us pick where we wanted to sit. Then he gave us official name tags for our desks. Of course, we talked about rules of the classroom, but we got to make them up ourselves! I think it’s cool that we got to make up our own rules because I think the other kids in my class will be better about following them.

Also, he introduced us to our class mascot! It’s a monkey that will come home with each of us over one weekend this year and read and do activities and stuff with us and our families! I’m excited because we have to come to school with names for him tomorrow. Naming a class mascot monkey is kind of a big deal, you know? I mean, he is basically going to be famous because every single student is going to write about him this year. Marvin? Michael? Mufasa (tee hee, like from the Lion King, remember?) I’m trying to think of ‘m’ names because monkey starts with m and I want it to sound…wait for it…alliterative. (That means words that start with the same sound that you say in a row, like furbulous fashionistas, or party people.)

Anyway, I’ll let you know what happens with the monkey mascot. Ha! See, that was alliteration, too!

    Peace out!
