Celebrate good times!

Happy Birthday America! Well, not QUITE yet, but in a few days that’s what we’ll be celebrating in the United States. On the Fourth of July, Americans celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence which gave us independence from Great Britain. Most people here go to a parade or festival and have picnics and BBQs. Most businesses are closed on this special day, which usually ends with a pawsome fireworks display!
And Friday is a very special day for Canada, too! July 1 is Canada Day so most Canadians will be out celebrating the day, almost 150 years ago, when they came together to create Canada. Canadians celebrate their country’s birthday almost the same way that we do, with outdoor parties and festivals and of course, food and fireworks!
I like learning about other countries’ celebrations because when you think about it, we are all pretty much the same. We all just like having fun with the people we care about.
Enjoy your weekend everyone! I’ll talk to you on Monday!

I can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode of Craftshop. I hear Dana is going to show us how to make something totally hip for your room – a pillow made out of a t-shirt. Dana sent me one of the pillows she made on the set and I LOVE it! I posted a pic of it here. J
Another craft I love is the 3D Sand Castle Art project in the BABW App this week. I’m always up for decorating my room, and this craft lets me add some summer style to my walls. It was even fun collecting the materials for this project because I got to rifle through my dad’s workshop. One of the things you need is sandpaper, so with the leftovers from my dad’s shop my castle looks awesome. It definitely warms up my room! I might even add some seashells to it later to make it beachier.
You should go check out some crafts to do this summer. Who knows? Maybe you’ll discover a whole new talent that you didn’t even know you had!
Talk to ya later!

Have you seen the new Blizzard Bears? They are so sweet! I haven’t gotten one yet but I’m thinking I want the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard Bear because that is my favorite Blizzard flavor, but of course, you know me, I could change my mind!
These yummy bears are also the camp counselors at Camp Happy Heart in Bearville™ this year, which means camp is going to rock. If you haven’t signed up yet be sure to log into Bearville soon and you’ll get assigned to a team. You’ll even get a cool team T-shirt so you can show off your team spirit! You earn points for your team when you play in Bearville and at the end of July the team with the most points wins!
