Spring is totally one of my favorite times of the year because of all the bright green grass and pretty flowers on the ground and even in the trees! This is also the time of year that I start to get REALLY excited about summer because school is almost out, which means pool time and camp with friends that I haven’t seen in forever. Plus, since it’s warmer, I’ve switched out my winter clothes and put more of my dresses and T-shirts back into my closet and I’ve packed away all my big, comfy sweaters.
Spring fashion feels so good because you get to wear bright colors, just like the flowers and grass at this time of year! Wearing bright colors is the perfect way to make you feel happy all day long. I think my favorite bright colors to wear this year are hot pink and lime. a really bright yellowy-green that goes with practically EVERYTHING. I have also been learning more simple ways to update my clothes myself. Like getting fabric markers and an old white or gray T-shirt and a long ruler and drawing lines across the front of the T-shirt. I like using a blue or navy color fabric marker instead of black, because black is so blah. Plus, navy goes well with those bright colors I like and it even works with brown or black pants or shoes. Navy and bright colors are the perfect way to stretch your spring and summer wardrobe.
You should try it! I also love all the stuff I’m finding and updating from thrift stores lately. More on that later.
Keep it real!

What’s up, readers?
I know you know Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday, May 12. So I’m going to tell you about a couple of things you can do.
First, Build-A-Bear Workshop created three different really sweet Mother’s Day cards for you to print for FREE and decorate to make them special for your mom. With the help of an adult, visit these addresses online to print your cards:
And second, you know how I always tell you that I make coupons for my parents as gifts? Well, Build-A-Bear Workshop made some blank ones for you this year so you can do it, too! It’s really easy. Just visitto print them, then cut them along the dotted lines and write in the chores or other things you want to give her for your Mother’s Day gift!
I usually give my mom stuff like making or cleaning up after dinner, doing laundry, vacuuming the house, and of course, I always throw in a couple special days or girl times in there, too. After all, we have to make sure we get our special time together!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Thank your teachers!

Teacher Appreciation Day is almost here! It’s next Tuesday, May 7. Visit Behind the Seams®, the Build-A-Bear Workshop blog, to print out some pawsome thank you cards for your teachers! You can decorate them and sign the insides however you want. I know for sure I’m going to print a few, not just one for my teacher, but I also want to give one to each of the secretaries in the main office at my school for helping all day, every day. I know they work really hard and never get enough thanks. With the help of an adult, typein your address bar, or visit and find the Teacher Appreciation Day printable ‘thank you’ cards post.
Make it pawsome!
