Cyberbullying Awareness Month
October 01, 2012
Happy October! (I can’t believe it’s already October.) So, you all know how important it is to be kind online, right? Well, this month, is officially Cyberbullying Awareness Month. I’m telling you because I want you to go take the quiz in Bearville™ so you can get a sign for your Cub Condo®. To take the quiz, just click on the safety cone in the Furbulous Fashion District.
And remember, the best part about being kind online is that you will keep all of the great friends you’ve made in Bearville and you’ll get to keep playing all the pawsome games! If you ever encounter a Cyberbully, remember to STOP, BLOCK and TELL.
Be safe out there!

Kapow! BAM! Whoosh!
Tee hee. I just love superhero words. They sound just like they look on a page. Those are called onomatopoeias (pronounced like AH-no-mahn-oh-PEE-ahs), which are words that sound like the action they are describing. Like when someone says “whoosh!” you pretty much know what they mean because that word sounds like a whoosh, you know?
Anyway, I was talking superhero in the first place because this weekend is Superhero Weekend at Build-A-Bear Workshop! They are giving away a FREE superhero bracelet for you and your furry friend with every purchase of a furry friend costume! Plus, it totally makes sense to go since Halloween is so close, right? I mean, even though I think everyone should have a superhero costume just in case (‘cause you never know when you’re going to need to fight the bad guys), it’s also pawfect because you can dress up your furry friend in one of these costumes!
Have a pawsome weekend!
Fall is here!
September 24, 2012
Not sure if you know already, but this past Saturday was the autumnal equinox. That means that in the northern hemisphere, Saturday was the first day of fall. And I love fall for lots of reasons. It’s getting cooler outside, which means I get to break out the scarves and boots and even wear tights with skirts! Plus, there are all kinds of things just lying around outside to make crafts with!
I’m working on an acorn wreath with my mom. I’m sharing a picture of what it looks like right now. You could make one, too! Collecting acorns was fun because you realize that there are so many different types of acorns and they are all really cool looking. My mom and I baked these on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes at 300 degrees to make sure there were no creepy crawlies living in them. (That would be icky!)
Once these are all on the wreath, we might paint it, but you could also just put a clear glaze on it to make it shiny. Add ribbons or leaves or even silk flowers in the colors of fall to make it even more unique!
Talk to ya later!
