Yo! That girl Maddie, you know, the one in my class that I told you about last week who was really shy? She is totally awesome. We ditched the grown-ups and made crafts in my room all night. It was so fun.
She brought some super balls and stockings to my house and we made these super cute super ball necklaces! See mine? You can make them with all different colors!
All you have to do is tie knots on either end of each ball to keep it in place. Then, if you do two rows of balls like I did, just tie the stockings together in knots where the rows end. Once you’re done you’ve got yourself a totally boss, unique piece of jewelry that everyone will love.
Plus, it goes with practically every outfit.

I had a dilemma today. There was a problem that I needed help with. There is a girl in my class that is really, really quiet. She seems super nice, but it’s so hard to get her to talk! I think she doesn’t have a lot of friends either, which is silly because she seems cool. But anyway, I wanted to invite her, just her, to a party my mom is having next week.
I think it’s good to make new friends. In fact, I love meeting new people and making new friends so I thought it would be fun to get to know her. But I was also worried that she would say no because she might think it was weird that I was inviting her since we don’t know each other very well.
So I asked my mom and you know what, she said exactly what I needed to hear. She said, “Chloe, you’ll never know unless you ask.” And just like that, I realized that maybe that girl is just waiting for someone to invite her to something so she can open up.
I can’t wait to get to know her. I know we have at least one thing in common, we both L-O-V-E ham sammies!
I’ll let you know how much fun we have!

Today at school we are going to work on secret codes! Secret codes are a kind of language you can use to communicate with other people, a language that is special and hard to figure out, but one that you can teach someone. It’s kind of complicated. So think about it like this…
Morse code was a language made by making beeps with one button, like one on your telephone. Today, in 1906, “SOS” was introduced. It’s a warning signal they made for Morse code so that you could tell people someone was in trouble. It was basically the first 9-1-1 number. So when people heard that in 1906, they knew something or someone was in trouble.
Have you ever come up with your own language with your friends? It’s fun! Give it a try!
GD LK! (He he, that’s “good luck” without the vowels. It’s hard coming up with a new language!)
