• Parent's Day

    July 24, 2013

Guess what? A very special day is coming up on Sunday.  It’s called Parent’s Day. It’s not a big deal in most countries, but I think it’s a good reason to do extra stuff for parents to show that you appreciate them. Even little stuff like doing the dishes, taking out the trash, keeping the counter clean all day, asking if they need any help in the yard, or, if you have a garden, weeding it for them. I mean, they do awesome stuff for us all year long, they are always there to drive us around to practices and lessons and games and our friends’ houses, and it’s just nice to do something nice for them, you know?

Speaking of gardens, my dad’s garden is crazy awesome this summer! He planted tons of stuff this year that he doesn’t normally plant, like onions, broccoli (yum!), rhubarb (which takes a few years to grow before it’s ready to eat), and zucchini. Now, let me tell you about those zucchini plants. Those things are GIANT! They are probably five to six feet across and their leaves are as big as a dinner plate! And what’s funny is that they produce these tiny little green zucchini squashes from that giant plant. But they’re awfully good, especially when they’re cooked on the grill!

    See ya later!

  • School’s out!

    July 17, 2013

    What’s up friends?

So I don’t know if you know this, but most of our friends in the United Kingdom are just now coming up on what is called Half-Term. That means that they have a break from school. And that also means that my friends everywhere are celebrating summer now! Even though I love school, I think there is something really special about summer. It’s a time of year that I have made a lot of memories and new friends. It’s also a time of year when I’ve traveled with my family and have done a lot of things I’ve never done before.

I think one of my favorite things to do in the summer is go fishing. I don’t even care who I go with, except I don’t like it if they talk too much or are loud because it scares away the fish. But most of the people I’ve been fishing with are awesome. Some people think you absolutely have to go fishing in the morning, but I also like fishing in the afternoon. It’s so relaxing. I also like it because it lets you sit there and think and be in nature. And that’s why summer is so awesome, cause you can go fishing during the day time.

    Check ya later!

  • Smurfy times are here!

    July 10, 2013

    Hey guys!

I can’t wait! Smurfs come out Friday at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in the United Kingdom, and they are already out in the United States and Canada. And the new movie The Smurfs 2 comes out later this month. I love Smurfette, cause she just has fab style all the time. But there are two others that I want, Vexy and Hackus, and both are adorable! It will be very hard to decide, cause I want them all!

You know how Smurfette wears an adorable white dress? Well, this summer I’ve totally been loving white. I’ve saved my allowance every week to buy something white for my wardrobe, cause I think white is just totally summery and fresh looking! Plus, it’s kind of like black because it goes with everything, you know? I have a white flowy skirt that I wear all the time and I also have a pair of white sandals that I’ll probably wear out by the end of the summer because I wear those with everything.  They even make jeans and a T-shirt look cute!

Well, that’s it till next time. Bye friends!
