• First day of school!

    August 20, 2012

The bus is leaving the station, as my mom likes to say when she is ready to leave. She’s about to take us to school, and it’s my first day back. I’m kind of nervous and excited at the same time. I get to see my old friends, but I will be in a new class with a new teacher and a lot of other kids I don’t know. Some of them I remember from last year, but we didn’t really spend time together so I wouldn’t call them my friends… yet! I’m sure I’ll make a bunch of new friends though.

I know it sounds crazy that I could be nervous, but it’s true, I kind of am. My mom says not to be nervous because everyone else is feeling the same way. She’s probably right. Everyone always feels like people are looking at them. Which is silly, because if everyone thinks everyone else is looking at them, that’s not even possible! So I’m not going to worry about it. Plus, the world doesn’t revolve around me. Even though I think people are looking at me, they are thinking the same thing, that people are looking at them, and since I’m not looking at them, they’re probably not looking at me either. Phew! Glad I got that out of the way!

Now I’m going to school and I’m determined to have a great first day! I’ll tell you all about it on Wednesday.

Good luck with your first day, too!

  • Back 2 School

    August 15, 2012

    Hi guys,

Since I only have a few days left until school starts, I’m playing on Bearville™ as much as I can (plus outside, of course!). There are some really cool new games on buildabearville.com™, but I’m super excited about the Carnival in Bearville! You can take a ride on the Ferris Wheel and even meet the Friends Count Bears. It’s all happening on Sandy Bear Island, so be sure to stop by.

The Friends Count Bears are so cool because they’re pawsome back to school pals and they are also around to help celebrate the Build-A-Bear Workshop 15th birthday this year! (Plus, they have the coolest kicks I’ve ever seen. I seriously wish I had some of those sparkly  fuchsia boots that Friends Count Heart Bear wears.)

There are three Friends Count Bears: Friends Count Heart Bear, Friends Count Star Bear and Colorful Stars Bear. Even though they are all furbulously fashionable, and it’s really hard to pick just one to bring home.   I’d have to go with Colorful Stars Bear. I mean, come on, have you seen that smile? She is adorable!

Eeeee! Monday is my first day back to school!

    I’ll fill you in later!

  • Closing ceremony

    August 13, 2012

    What’s up, guys?

Wow! Did you see the closing ceremony of the Olympics last night? It was amazing! I loved how London made it like a rock concert and had all kinds of bands there. I was dancing all over the place!

I am pretty sad that the Olympics are over though. I love being able to watch all  of the different sports each night. Some of the sports I got to watch were archery, track and field events, swimming, gymnastics, and I even got to see different kinds of cycling, like track. Even though it was 17 days long it just seems like it went by so fast!

I can’t believe there were more than 10,000 athletes from around the world that came to participate! I heard about how much food the swimmers have to eat because they work so hard. Can you imagine trying to feed all those hungry athletes? That’s a ton of food!  And I thought school lunch was a big crowd!

Speaking of, my very first day of school is next week so I’ve got a lot of planning to do. I’ll tell you about it on Wednesday.

    Peace out!
