Sand castle craft
May 14, 2012
Hey guys,
Since it’s getting warmer I’ve been thinking about the beach a lot. Have you? I really want to go to the beach this summer, but I might not be able to. So I am bringing back a sandy craft that I showed you last summer. Even though this craft involves sand, it’s not messy!
All you need are some scissors, different kinds of sandpaper, which you can find at hardware stores, some cool background paper and whatever stickers or other little things you want to decorate it. Draw on the back of the sandpaper and use scissors you don’t care about ruining (because cutting sandpaper makes them dull, make sure you aren’t using your mom’s favorite scissors. You should probably ask first.) After cutting out the castle parts, use scrapbooking foam squares to arrange the castle how you want it on the paper. Then you can decorate it! You can even go a totally different direction and put a dragon on it, and cut out a blue moat (the river that runs around a castle) around it. And you can add a drawbridge and maybe even a princess letting down her long shining locks from high in the tower!
Have fun, friends!
