• Pets galore!

    January 30, 2012

    Hi everyone,

You know how Build-A-Bear Workshop has that cute Kisses For You puppy for Valentine’s Day? Well, they also have all kinds of other dogs and have had cats, too. When you buy some of the dogs, $1 to goes to help support animal shelters all over the country! So I decided I needed my fix and went with my family this weekend to volunteer at our local shelter.

When we got there we could hear dogs and puppies barking. They told us the thing they need help with most is walking the dogs. So we walked dogs for about three hours. It was great exercise, a great excuse to get outside in the fresh air, and the dogs loved it. I met so many sweet ones that I just wanted to take home with me. It was hard to leave them, but I left knowing that they would find loving homes with someone special that really needed them, too.

Have you ever thought about volunteering to help animals?

    Talk to ya later!

  • Dance Recital

    January 25, 2012

    It’s almost here.

My winter recital! I love this one because I get to dress up in white, and feathers and sparkles, like a snow queen! Of course, I’m not the ONLY snow queen. There are other friends in my dance class that dress in the same outfit. But it’s still really fun because mom does my makeup and I even get to wear sparkles on my FACE!

I know my brother is jealous; he just doesn’t want to admit it. But he always does crazy face paint for Halloween, so it pretty much evens out. Like last year he was a zombie, so his whole face was a creepy grey white and his eyes were all black.

Have you ever had to wear face paint for something? Isn’t it fun to dress up, even if you aren’t performing for anyone? I will ALWAYS love it!

    Catch ya later!

  • Wintering Birds

    January 23, 2012

    Hey guys,

I made bird feeders last week with my neighbors and the birds in my yard are LOVING them! There are a couple pairs of Cardinals that keep coming back for more. So sweet! Cardinals are cool because they stick around all year. They don’t migrate to warmer climates like some birds do.

They are the most beautiful bright red birds! Actually, the males are bright red and the females have more brown feathers, but they look so much alike you can tell when they are together. They also sound so beautiful. I think Cardinals are probably my favorite bird.

Do you know a lot about birds? Do you have a favorite bird? Teach a friend about them. It’s always cool to learn new stuff and who knows, maybe they know something about birds that they can teach you, too!

    Have fun!
